課程概述 |
The course offers students
various guided writing
experiences based on an
inquiry-format of learning
where actual writing of
biography, interviews,
essays, news stories, and
short stories are
complemented by a study of
principles of writing, as
well as writing procedures,
techniques and devices. |

課程目標 |
The course aims to raise
students’ awareness and
deeper understanding of
writing aspects, sentence-
structural variety and
rhetorical modes (e.g.
exploratory, persuasive,
argumentative essays, etc). |
|
課程要求 |
Students are expected to
complete the following
writing pieces at the end of
the course: biography,
interviews, essays (academic
and non-academic), news
stories, and short stories.
They are also expected to
review one or two of their
peers’ writing pieces and
make an oral presentation of
the procedures and results
of the reviews at the end of
the semester. |
